Netflix Loves Y Yoga Movie

This was a profound movie and I highly recommend it. I’ve been practicing Yoga for six years and it’s the greatest discovery of my life. The “Y Yoga Movie” gave me even more wisdom and passion for this amazing practice. Thank You!

This is an excellent movie! I loved it and I can’t think of enough good things to say about it. If you are not into yoga, but curious… take a yoga class somewhere, then watch the movie. You will see yourself in it. Otherwise, you probably will have no idea what is going on. It’s a beautiful thing!

I loved every minute of the film. It accurately portrayed how our country is being transformed, one person at a time, through the practice of yoga. The yoga movement is a powerful force that, I believe, should be portrayed more in the media. This movie does a beautiful job of this…

I have been Practicing yoga for many yrs now and I can honestly say that i enjoyed every moment of this movie. It was great seeing the many teachers that i have practiced with and who are friends of mine. If you are thinking about starting yoga or have a regular practice i think you will enjoy this movie. Peace Vigil September 11, 2011 in Egypt

I’m an Australian who lives in Egypt by choice or perhaps I should say by spirit! In the year 2009 I went home for a brief holiday. During this trip home the “Y Yoga Movie” DVD was advertised on TV & we immediately both wanted one & of course each got one. Arthur Klein’s opening Continue reading

Y Yoga Movie review in “Fit Yoga” Magazine

On my first trip to India eight years ago, my guidebook said that Rishikesh was the yoga capital of the world. After seeing Y Yoga, I Wonder if LA now has that title.

Arthur Klein, director and narrator, poses the question, “What is yoga, and why does practicing it make you happier?” For six years, he traveled extensively, exploring the terrain of th American yoga scene, to find out.

Insightful and candid interviews with celestial yogis Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffmann, Gurmukh, Seane Corn, Dave Stringer, and otheres reveal juicy teaching tidbits. But Klein’s scope also spans beyond the celebrities, successfully showing how yoga works its magic in an underprivileged charter elementary school and offers respite for Marines, in Iraq. Yogis and yogis-to-be will find inspiration, gratitude, and resonance in this thorough yet playful probe into the diverse ways that yoga fulfills its promise of happiness. Continue reading
